Masse Video (or Massive Vision) school of fine art offers private, in studio theatre instruction.


Theatre is a living story. Dynamic and ever-changing like life. Through theatre you escape into the life of another to existence life as that person. In MasseVideo's theatre classes, we explore many different theater forms, acting styles, and aspects. From storytelling to commedia dell arte, and Shakespeare to acting on film, we will prepare students on how to function as a well rounded actor with a basis in professionalism.

Auditions

Students will learn how to improve their auditioning skills for theatre. Through the preparation of monologues, instructions on how to develop a cold reading technique and exercises in pre-read auditions, the instructor will illustrate the steps involved ensuring the best result.

Diction

It is very important to have clear diction and proper vocal technique to being both heard and understood, whether students are on a stage or in front of a camera. This also encompasses dialect and accents as well, which can be difficult to master convincingly.

Styles & Forms

Theatre is more than just standing on stage and speaking from a script. It's alive and dynamic! Students will be taught how to jump into a character, and express life as that character in that moment, while inviting the audience to experience that character with them! At Masse Video, we dive deep into various forms of acting techniques, stage blocking, cold readings, and everything students need to be a successful and professional on the stage.
